My state of mind: Fluctuating from a deep excitement for life and its beauty, to a high chaotic space within me that wants to expand and let go of everything.
I feel the most balanced when: I’m with people who share the same interest to live in their truth.
In relation to fashion, I have learned not to: Conform to other people’s ideas of you. There are a lot of projections out there, constantly, and it’s easy to get lost in them. The most valuable thing you can have is your connection to Self.
My best DIY tip for making every day more sustainable: I think we need to change our value system at the core—automatically this consciousness will also change the way we live our life and the choices we make as a society. Our world nowadays is more about consuming than giving back. I’ve seen images of sustainable green projects in urban cities where they plant trees and plants everywhere, making an “urban jungle”. I would love to see more of that. We need to build more creative solutions that ultimately preserve, sustain, enrich and cultivate our planet. It’s conscious living that is sustainable and equally sufficient.
I cannot live without: The unknown.
I’m currently reading/watching: Watching: The Young Pope by Sorrentino (genius filmmaking). Reading: The Blazing World—a novel by Siri Husvedt.
My eco-fashion prediction: I think consumerism, fast-fashion and greed will collapse. Hopefully, humans are longing for things that have meaning and value. I think more and more people are beginning realize the beauty of living a simpler life, not wanting to own so many things. Things that don’t have a purpose become more of a burden.
My favorite organic/natural beauty product: Bone broth. It’s great for skin and body—like a power pack of all the essential nutrients.
My forever-favorite piece of clothing: My mother’s Native American caftan.
This is priceless to me: Traveling with my Shruti Box. It’s an Indian instrument, like a natural drone. It is so easy to play, and I enjoy singing to it.
